Heffez Neurosurgical Associates, S.C. is a private neurosurgical practice which opened its doors on April 15, 2003. Our mission is to offer expert comprehensive neurosurgical care with compassion and respect for the patient. We have a profound interest in the Chiari malformation, cervical myelopathy, cervical stenosis, spinal cord compression, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue symdrome, myofacial pain syndrome, and the dysautonomias. Our work over the years suggests that these conditions share many common features that often leads to misdiagnosis and incorrect treatment. Our role is to identify those patients with treatable neurological problems and offer them the best treatment be it surgical or nonsurgical. We also have a long standing interest in disorders that cause stroke such as brain aneurysm, AVM, carotid stenosis, and cavernous malformation.

Dr. Heffez does not work alone in this endeavor. He relies on the help of neurologists, nurse practitioners, rheumatologists, and psychologists. He also enlists the help of physical, occupational, and speech therapists in evaluating and treating his patients.
